Dejeuner Brule

Serves 4

  • 2(4 ounce) Le Petit Dejeuner
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 2 T sugar

Blend first four ingredients together until smooth. Spoon mixture into 4 4oz ramekins and place in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours.  Remove ramekins from frig and top each with 1-1/2 teaspoons sugar spreading evenly. Caramelize sugar with a kitchen torch, if one is not available place ramekins on a cookie sheet and put in broiler for approx 1-2 minutes or until caramelized. Let set 1-2 minutes or until sugar hardens then serve.
