Rustic Orange Breakfast Danish

 

Egg wash:

  • Whites from one egg
  • 1T water

 

Lightly stir together set aside.

 

Filling:

  • 4oz Marin French Petite Dejeuner
  • ¼ C Orange Marmalade

 

Blend in food processor until smooth

 

Dough:

  • 1 ¼ C Bisquick Baking Mix
  • 2 oz Marin French Petite Dejeuner
  • 2 oz butter

 

In medium size bowl Cut cold butter and cheese into Bisquick, until it resembles small pebbles.

 

Add:

  • ¼ C orange juice

Stir well.

 

Turn dough out onto cutting board that has been sprinkled with Bisquick to keep dough from sticking. Knead dough 10 times. Roll out to a 9”x11” rectangle. Spread filling all over rolled dough, out to edges. Tightly roll lengthwise and pinch ends to close and egg wash just the ends. Place seam side up on non-stick baking sheet. Bake at 400 degrees for 20 minutes or until golden brown. (Danish will open at the middle to resemble a rustic baguette.) Let cool 10 minutes and remove from baking sheet. Serve hot or at room temperature.
