Marin French Cheese Company specializes in the production of soft-ripening cheeses. Our original cheese, the breakfast cheese, was first produced in 1865 when President Lincoln was in office. Our selection of traditional cheeses includes Brie, Camembert and Schloss (washed-rind).
We have added three new categories: the Petite 4oz cheeses, Melange, which is a blend of cow’s and goat’s milk and the Grand Artisan cheeses which are 24 ozs.. The new categories offer products to attract the customer who is familiar with typical soft-ripened European cheeses. These cheeses develop magnificently and offer a look and flavor profile that satisfies a very discriminating cheese connoisseur. The curd breaks down into a delicious sweet milk/ripened cheese flavor.
The new Grand Artisan cheeses currently produced are a triple cream cow, triple cream blue veined cow, a goats’ milk brie, a goats’ milk camembert and blue veined goats’ milk.
